Heavy-flavour tagging at the CMS experiment / Zaza, Angela (INFN, Bari ; Bari U.) /CMS Collaboration
At the CMS experiment, the identification of heavy-flavour jets, i.e., jets originating from bottom and charm quarks, is crucial for many standard model (SM) measurements, mostly involving the top quark and the Higgs boson, and searches for new physics. The CMS Collaboration developed extremely powerful jet tagging algorithms based on state-of-the-art deep learning methods, which will be illustrated in this contribution. [...]

Search for LFV with tau leptons in the final state / Guzzi, Luca (INFN, Milan Bicocca) /CMS Collaboration
In the Standard Model (SM) lepton flavour numbers are approximately conserved at energies accessible to current experiments, where lepton flavour violation is extremely suppressed. The observation of neutrino oscillations, however, proves that neutrinos are massive particles and allows for additional Lepton Flavour Violating (LFV) processes also at low energies [...]

Searches for New Physics that couple with third generation fermions / D'Amante, Valeria (INFN, Pisa) /CMS Collaboration
The $\tau$ lepton, with a mass of $1776.86\pm0.12$ MeV, is unique in its ability to decay into hadrons and a neutrino. Approximately one third of $\tau$ decays produce an electron or a muon and two neutrinos, denoted as $\tau_e$ and $\tau_\mu$. [...]

Radiation Hard Pixel Sensors for the Phase 2 Upgrade of the CMS Inner Tracker / Steinbrueck, Georg (Hamburg U.) /CMS Collaboration
The Inner Tracker (IT) of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN will be upgraded for the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). The expected integrated luminosity at the end of the HL-LHC running phase is at least 3000 fb$^{-1}$, corresponding to a 1 MeV neutron equivalent fluence of $\Phi_{\rm eq} = $ 2.6$\times 10^{16}$~cm$^{-2}$ and a total ionizing dose (TID) of 13 MGy at the innermost layer of the IT [...]

Higgs and precision physics at CMS / Mondal, Spandan (Brown U.) /CMS Collaboration
Since the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, significant progress has been made in measuring several properties related to the Higgs boson. The large dataset available now facilitates precise measurements of the Higgs boson mass, natural width, couplings, production cross sections, and even differential and fiducial cross sections. [...]

Review of the measurements of the strong coupling constant in CMS at 13 TeV / Potrebko, Andris (Riga Tech. U.) /CMS Collaboration
The strong coupling constant is the least known of the coupling constants in the standardmodel. Nevertheless it appears in the calculations of cross sections of all the processes at the LHC. [...]

Measurement of the effective leptonic electroweak mixing angle and Drell–Yan forward-backward asymmetry using pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV / Khukhunaishvili, Aleko (Rochester U.) /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the effective leptonic weak mixing angle $\sineff$ is presented using the forward-backward asymmetry in Drell--Yan dilepton events produced in ppcollisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$\,TeV. The data sample corresponds to 137\,fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity and consists of dimuon and dielectron events, including the forward electrons reconstructed beyond the coverage of the CMS tracking detectors. Exotic searches by CMS / Santanastasio, Francesco (INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) /CMS Collaboration
These proceedings present the results of new searches for various new physics phenomena in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$13 TeV and 13.6 TeV delivered by the LHC and collected with the CMS detector during Run 2 (2016-2018) and Run 3 (2022-2023), respectively. In many cases these analyses set the most stringent limits on these new physics phenomena to date..
