Crystal collimation of heavy-ion beams / Redaelli, Stefano (CERN) ; Mazzolari, Andrea (INFN, Pisa) ; Abramov, Andrey (CERN) ; Lechner, Anton (CERN) ; Lindstrom, Bjorn (CERN) ; Mirarchi, Daniele (CERN) ; Matheson, Eloise (CERN) ; Potoine, Jean-Baptiste (IES, Montpellier) ; Dewhurst, Kay (CERN) ; Bandiera, Laura (INFN, Pisa) et al.
An important upgrade programme is planned for the collimation system of Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for lead–ion beams that will already reach their high-luminosity target intensity upgrade in the LHC Run 3 (2022-2025). While certain effects like e-cloud, beam-beam, impedance, inject and dump protection are relaxed with ion beams, halo collimation becomes a challenge, as the conventional multi-stage collimation system is about two orders of magnitude less efficient than for proton beams. IV.1 — The origin of JUAS, 1990–1993 / Rey-Campagnolle, Marcelle (ESI, Archamps ; Grenoble, CEN ; CERN) ; Rinolfi, Louis
The origin of the Joint Universities Accelerator School can be traced back to a collaboration between CERN-based physicists, ESRF and the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France, in 1990. This led to a formal collaboration with the CERN Directorate to implement a joint universities school in Archamps (France) with the support of the Haute-Savoie local authorities..

CMS RPC non-physics event data automation ideology / CMS Collaboration
This paper presents a streamlined framework for real-time processing and analysis of condition data from the CMS experiment Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC). Leveraging data streaming, it uncovers correlations between RPC performance metrics, like currents and rates, and LHC luminosity or environmental conditions. [...]

Performance of the ALICE Zero Degree Calorimeters in LHC Run 3 / Zugravel, Stefan Cristi (INFN, Turin ; Turin Polytechnic) /ALICE Collaboration
The Zero Degree Calorimeters (ZDC) of the ALICE experiment at the LHC were designed to characterize the event and monitor the luminosity in heavy-ion collisions. In order to fully exploit the potential offered by the LHC increased luminosity in Run 3, while preserving the time and charge resolution performance, the ZDC readout system was upgraded to allow the acquisition of all collisions in self-triggered mode without dead time. Measurement of strange particle femtoscopic correlations at the CMS experiment / Pradhan, Raghunath (Illinois U., Chicago) /CMS Collaboration
The two particle correlations as a function of relative momenta of identified hadrons involving KS0 and Λ/ Λ¯ are measured in PbPb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV with the data samples collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC. Such correlations are sensitive to the quantum statistics and possible final state interactions between the particles. [...]
